Restricted platform
Platform terms
These terms apply only to people invited to use the restricted Braided digital platform. The public website has separate Website Terms.
Last updated: September 4, 2026 · Version: 2026-09-04
1. Agreement and operator
The platform is operated by Braided Health Limited (Company Number 9352117, NZBN 9429052935855). By creating or using an invited account, you agree to these terms and the Platform Privacy Notice.
2. What the platform is
Braided is an evolving digital wellbeing platform that may support reflection, assessment, journaling, authorised provider workflows, learning, and AI-assisted interactions. The features available to you depend on your role, invitation, consent choices, care relationship, and the current release.
3. Accounts and eligibility
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity through your account unless it results from our breach.
- Do not share an invitation, account, or protected information with an unauthorised person.
- We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably required for safety, security, abuse prevention, or law.
4. Information and overseas services
Braided uses service providers to host, authenticate, store, communicate, and process platform information. Current providers include Vercel, Railway, Supabase, MongoDB Atlas, Anthropic, Google (Gemini API), Resend, Amazon Web Services (Simple Email Service), Amazon Web Services (Rekognition and Cognito Identity Pools). Some processing occurs outside New Zealand, including in the United States.
The Platform Privacy Notice explains the information involved, purpose, region, retention boundaries, and available privacy controls. Acknowledging these terms does not remove Braided’s legal responsibilities.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not attempt unauthorised access, interfere with the service, or bypass safety or access controls.
- Do not upload unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, malicious, or rights-infringing material.
- Do not use another person’s health or personal information without appropriate authority.
- Do not use platform outputs as the sole basis for urgent, medical, legal, or high-consequence decisions.
6. AI and clinical boundaries
AI-generated material may be incomplete, incorrect, or inappropriate for a particular circumstance. It supports reflection and authorised workflows; it does not replace professional judgement, informed consent, or the authority of a person over their own story.
Providers remain responsible for their professional duties, scope of practice, clinical decisions, recordkeeping, and any independent systems or communications used outside Braided.
7. Privacy rights and retention
Braided provides privacy controls and request paths for export, correction, access review, account deletion, and separate deletion of connected health source data where the corresponding path exists today.
Account deletion and health-source deletion do not remove records Braided must retain for audit, legal, accounting, safety, reward verification, or clinical continuity purposes. Automated backups and point-in-time recovery archives cannot be selectively purged for a single user. Data deleted from live systems may remain in those backup stores until the relevant backup-retention windows expire.
Available self-service controls are in Account → Privacy & Security.
8. Fees, features, and availability
Some current or future features may be free, paid, provider-funded, or unavailable. Any specific charge or commercial commitment will be shown separately before it applies. We may change or withdraw features as the platform develops and will update the relevant notice where a change materially affects users.
9. Rewards and verification
For reward, challenge, and verification features, Braided may process verification and audit evidence such as device or source provenance, timestamps, nonces, venue or reviewer identifiers, location or presence bands where enabled, and eligibility decisions. Braided uses the least intrusive proof path appropriate to the reward or verification rule, escalating to stronger checks only where the programme, value, risk, or review state requires it. These assurance records help assess whether a behaviour or event meets a product rule; they are not a guarantee that a health outcome occurred or was caused by the behaviour.
Eligibility may depend on the applicable programme rules, evidence source, freshness, anti-replay checks, and review status. A displayed progress or verification state does not guarantee payment or a health outcome.
10. Content, availability, and liability
Braided content, design, marks, and software belong to Braided Health Limited or its licensors. You may use them only as reasonably necessary for your authorised use of the platform.
To the extent permitted by law, Braided is not liable for decisions made solely in reliance on AI-generated material, third-party outages, misuse, or circumstances outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. New Zealand law and contact
These terms are governed by New Zealand law unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
